1. Our commitment
We want you to end up with a correctly prepared application. If something went wrong on our side, we will make it right — by fixing the document or refunding you. Note that our fee is for the preparation service; the IRS itself charges nothing to apply for an EIN or ITIN, and IRS decisions or processing times are never grounds we can control.
2. When you get a full refund
- You paid but have not downloaded your completed form and ask us to cancel.
- You were charged twice for the same application.
- A technical failure on our side prevented your document from being generated or delivered, and we could not resolve it.
3. After your document is delivered
Once your completed form has been generated and downloaded, the service has been substantially provided, so refunds are handled case-by-case. If the prepared form contains an error caused by our service (rather than by the information entered), we will correct it at no charge or refund you.
4. Add-ons and Full Service
Attorney Review is fully refundable until the review has started. Full Service is fully refundable until you have signed the IRS authorization form and our representative has begun the submission work; after that, refunds are case-by-case.
5. How to request a refund
Email info@practifile.com from your account email with the payment date and, if you have it, the payment ID shown in your payment history. We respond within 2 business days.
6. How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method through our payment processor (Stripe). Depending on your bank, the money typically appears within 5–10 business days. Refunded applications lose access to the paid document until re-purchased.
7. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first — most issues are resolved faster with a direct refund than through a bank dispute.
